At the age of ten I made my first trip to Canada, and I was thrilled on exploring this country ever since. As a student in Germany, I cycled the Small Carpathian Mountains, Masuria and the fjords and Fjell plateaus of Norway on adventurous trips. The magnificence of the Alps raised my passion for climbing and mountaineering. Since I was fascinated by the Dolomites, I also traversed these mountains on touring skies. As an organizing member of the Trekcologne hiking club in the Cologne area (Germany), I planned and led day hikes and multi day trips with great enthusiasm. After all I turned my passion for the outdoors into a profession. I completed the Adventure Tourism Program at TRU, Kamloops. Mountaineering and climbing trips in the Rocky Mountains, hiking the West Coast Trail, the North Coast Trail and in the Kluane National Park and kayak and canoe trips have enriched my experience. By combination of working in my dream job in the country of my dreams I am happy to share my experience with the guests and I'm looking forward to sharing new adventures with them on upcoming trips.
Adrienne was born in Hungary and fell in love with the mountains while working in Colorado during her college breaks. Her passion for nature, skiing, hiking and the outdoors brought her to the Canadian Rockies in 2006. As a guide she enjoys meeting people from around the world and showing visitors what the Rockies have to offer. Her favorite kind of hikes involve alpine lakes, wildflower meadows and ridgetops with amazing views. She's also one of our German speaking multiday guides and loves taking guests across Western Canada's National Parks.
Megan grew up in the foothills of the Rockies near Rocky Mountain House. She has made her home in the Bow Valley, guiding since 2015. Having worked for a local dogsledding company, Megan ended up with a “retiree/adventure buddy” who often joins her on many adventures in the mountains! It is not unusual to find Megan fostering animals who need a short-term refuge. Her love for animals is equal for her love of the outdoors. Passionate about hiking, you can find Megan trekking from evening summits to month long trails, preferably with some alpine lakes! She is the proud inventor of “summit sushi.” Best of all, Megan has an infectious laugh, a warm smile and is full of positive energy!
Originally from Eastern Canada, DK (Dave) Honeyman has made the Canadian National Mountain Parks his home base for over 30 years. While employed seasonally in Jasper Park for 8 summers in the early 1980's, he climbed, biked and hiked to every corner of the park. Environment Canada Parks afforded him time to wander the North and South boundary trails, ascend the big peaks and further explore the northern Rockies side valleys.
Winter skiing then took him to the Banff National Park area where summers were spent with quality time getting to know Banff, Kootenay, Yoho and Lake Louise; climbing and hiking in the southern Rockies main range.
International trekking and mountaineering expeditions have included visiting regions of the Nepal Himal, the Alps, the American South West and North Wales, in addition to further exploration of our Canadian Rocky Mountains.
Growing up in Calgary, the mountains have always been close to his heart, so moving to the Bow Valley was an easy choice. Adventure and life experience are a few of Scott’s reasons for living and sharing in the mountains. On his days off he can be found exploring and camping with his wife, twin girls and pup. Every place visited puts a peaceful perspective on life. An avid trail runner, snowboarder and hiker, the opportunity to share his passion of movement with others in this majestic valley can’t be beat. His previous experiences as an EMT, art student and in business, lend to his role as a guide. He is also known to teach a stellar yoga class. Scott is certified as an Apprentice Interpreter and 4 season Hiking Guide and is currently working on his ACMG Hiking Guide stream.

The mountains called Sara, and she listened. Her passion for snowboarding brought her to Canmore where she started working at Sunshine Village. Surrounded by adventurous people, she was inspired to explore the mountains, discover her love of adventure, and learn the history and stories that make the mountain environment special. She also learned how to stay safe and have fun in a hostile environment which led her to solo thru-hike the Great Divide Trail, stand on top of 250+ peaks, explore over 300 trails, and various ski resorts throughout the Canadian Rockies. She feels she hasn't even scratched the surface and continues to hit the trail every chance she gets either solo, with her husband or friends.
Sara is an IGA Professional 4 Season Hiking Guide and ACMG Apprentice Hiking Guide, is excited to further her guiding career with White Mountain Adventures, and she looks forward to sharing the inspiring beauty of the mountains with her guests.

I came to Banff in May 1977 from Fujiya Hotel in Hakone N.P. to Fairmont Banff Springs for overseas training and supposed to go back after a year or 2, but I am still here after 44 years. "Why?" You'll know why when you get here. I ended up starting guiding business for Japanese visitors after 2 years and continued until 2011 and raised 3 children. I sought something different or move somewhere else for a while, but ended up joining WMA in 2019. My clients often ask me why you are still working? Well, "why not" it is simply a pleasure for me to be able to share this beautiful home with visitors from all over the world.
I studied at Sophia University in Tokyo and have a B.A. in law, but I'm glad I pursued my career in the Hospitality industry. I loved to meet people and I loved to see people smile.
I teach Alpine skiing in Winter or XC-skiing when I'm not and play tennis, gardening or hiking with friends when I'm not guiding in summer.
