Known now as a favorite filming location for Hollywood, including blockbusters Inception, Revenant and Jumanji, Fortress has played host to today's biggest film stars. You can visit today during the winter months on a guided snowshoe tour or catski program. In summer, White Mountain Adventures operates exclusive guided hiking programs with ATV Assist, so you can enjoy the high alpine ridgeline views without all the work (and if you were pounding those Fortress Moguls in the 80's let's face it those knees may not be up the long hike and big vertical otherwise).
