Heli-Hikes and Heli-Wedding are back!

Well, business is slowly coming back at White Mountain Adventures in the Banff and Canmore areas. On July 3, I had the privilege of taking a wedding group up to the “Medicine Wheel” on our first helicopter experience of the summer heli hiking season here in the Canadian Rockies. The weather was beautiful, - but a little chilly at 6 C when we arrived. The sun was shining though and combined with the magnificent views, I could have stayed all day. It feels great to be back above treeline. It’s just something about the alpine air. Some of the early plants such as purple saxifrage and yellow draba were in bloom but not much else yet. More to come soon enough. And we did see a marmot but he wasn’t very interested in us and ran away. I’m looking forward to flying back up again on Sunday and doing a hike this time! And after almost 4 months of closure it’s really nice to reconnect with work colleagues once again Hi to Alpine Helicopters pilots and staff, Patrick the marriage commissioner and Sharon and Malcolm from Peak Photography!
