Early Season Lake Louise Hiking with Jennifer

Hiking Guide - Jennifer

Welcome Folks, that’s me above, I have been working for White Mountain Adventures as a certified Interpretive Hiking Guide for the last 2 years and love it!

Much has changed this summer; we are not seeing the crowds in Lake Louise, like before. I recently moved back to Lake Louise last December; I have been a resident of this spectacular countryside for 15 years, wow how time flies!  When I am on days off, I choose to explore my beautiful backyard, and I find I am continually finding new places to hike and hangout all while connecting to nature, the local history and the land.

Last weekend I decided to re- visit some of my favorite places which happen to be a couple of the iconic hiking trails in Lake Louise in early season.

My first stop was the much-anticipated Turquoise waters of Lake Louise.  After taking a dozen or so photos (here is one of them, trust me you will not be able to just take one snapshot…)

I proceeded on my way, after a short rove, I approached my second lake for the day.  Mirror Lake, slightly different in color than Lake Louse.  I had this lake to myself, for the 10 minutes I was here.

I then continued to my next destination, Lake Agnes Tea House.

Although the sky looked threatening, it never rained, it was ideal weather conditions to be out hiking on this trail. If you love alpine lakes then you are in for a treat, as you visit three on this trip. Trail conditions were mostly dry, good to excellent.

The next day I decided to visit the Plain of 6 Glaciers Tea House.  Like the day before I was able to get out and explore without the crowds, sometimes it was just me in places.  The weather was sunny, and dry and the trail conditions were mostly dry with patches of snow and water.  I love a waterfall I hope you do to!
