Join one of our guides for a 1/2 day or full day guided heli-hike that begins with a helicopter flight from Canmore and is followed by a dropoff in a remote alpine location. After you and your guide wave good-bye to the helicopter you'll be on your own to explore a wonderful world above treeline full of alpine wildflowers, lingering snowfields, and wildlife such as bighorn sheep, marmots and pika. The views are spectacular in all directions and you can choose from 3 different levels of hiking/walking difficulty allowing you to cover just the amount of distance that is right for you. After your hike, you'll watch as your flight home comes in for a soft landing right beside your feet, - ready to lift you off the ground and whisk you back to civilization in a few short minutes. Each trip is accompanied by one of our professionally trained hiking and interpretive guides who'll introduce you to the mountain peaks, history of the area, and help you identify the alpine wildflowers and wildlife you're likely to see. No special equipment or clothing is needed! We can provide you with the use of boots, jackets, daypacks and hiking poles. Scheduled Heli-hikes 2008 Alpine Walk - AM and PM This excursion offers a 6-8 minute scenic helicopter flight to a secluded area high above the Bow River Valley and 3 to 4 hours of hiking, with the pace and distance covered depending entirely on the ability of the group. $349 + GST per person. Price is based on a minimum of 2 passengers.
Royal Canadian Heli Hike - AM and PM Your journey will start with a 25 minute sight seeing tour, taking you soaring over mountain ranges and delivers you to Mount Charles Stewart, where adventure awaits. The difficulty of the hike depends entirely on the ability of the group and will last 3 to 4 hours. $499 + GST per person. Price is based on a minimum of 2 passengers.

And for something really different, visit us this winter and try ... Heli-snowshoeing! A short helicopter flight from our base in Canmore takes you high into a winter wonderland of open meadows, alpine ridges and snow covered forests. Once you touch down you'll explore this winter wonderland on snowshoes with a professional guide. Have fun sliding down slopes on the backs of your snowshoes, walk across ridges offering incredible views and stop for some hot chocolate at our snow camp sheltered in the forest. It's a magical winter treat! Available daily. Cost is $349 pp + GST. Minimum 3 persons.
